Welcome to
the Fort Hill Motel,
a "SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY" in Petersburg, West
Virginia. Stay with us in the heart of the
Potomac Highlands and relax in the midst of

Our rooms vary in
size from the luxury of our suites with living
room/kitchenettes, double rooms with room to
stretch, and our nicely appointed more
economical standard rooms. Each room is
furnished with room refrigerator, microwave
oven, color-cable remote control television and
telephone with free local calls.
Wireless internet connection
is available in all rooms. The premises
also has a small
conference room available to rent.

Our
guests can enjoy the fun-filled grounds of the motel. The
motel’s beautiful outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day through
Labor Day weekend. We have horseshoe pits in our front yard, a
basketball "shooting court" and volleyball in our side lawn and
for our younger guests or just the "young at heart" a
sandbox in the front lawn. Sit back in the Adirondack chairs and
enjoy a sunset over the mountains.
We
also have an access
trail to the Civil War Fort Mulligan. The rugged earthworks that
bear silent witness to the sacrifices of the thousands of
Americans who marched, dug, fought, froze and died here during
the war. The tide of war ebbed and waned across the South
during the war, but when troops were in the South Branch, they
were always "at the front."
Before you access
the trail to the fort be sure to pick up a
brochure in the lobby of the motel that will
offer you point by point information on your
self-guided tour.
We have a vast
array of touring information of our state for
your use as a resource. We will do our best to
help you plan your time in our beautiful
mountains and valleys. The vast Monongahela
National Forest is nearby with all of the
wonderful natural treasures she holds. |
